Past Event Info --- from the 2013 Stanford Open

Compete in the only tournament open to the entire Stanford community: men and women members, faculty/staff, students and alumni. Compete as individuals for low gross and as 2-person teams for low net honors in this popular annual event. The field will be limited to the first 108 paid entrants. This year's event will be a morning shotgun at 8 am. Check-in at the clubhouse restaurant beginning at 6:45 am.

The 2012 men's champion was former Stanford All-American and current assistant golf coach Phil Rowe

When: Saturday, April 6 at 8 am.

Eligibility: All current Stanford golf men and women members, current faculty/staff, current Stanford students and Stanford alumni. Golf professionals who meet one of the above eligibility requirements are also welcome. Entrants may invite 1 partner, male or female, who also meets these Stanford affiliation eligibility requirements. A spouse of an eligible Stanford affiliate is allowed to play as the partner of their spouse.

The one exception to the above eligibility criteria is a non-member spouse of an eligible Stanford affiliate. The non-member spouse is allowed to play as the partner of the eligible Stanford affiliate. He/she will pay at the same rate as the eligible Stanford affiliate spouse if the affiliate is a student or faculty/staff member, but will pay at the alumni rate if the affiliate is a regular member or an alumnae/alumnus.

Entry Fee: Member (including juniors) $50, Golf Staff $50, Student $45, Faculty/Staff (non-member) $115, , Alumnus/Alumna $130. Includes greens fee, bucket of range balls, continental breakfast at 6:45 am, and post-round lunch. Prizes will be awarded for approximately 1/3 of the field. Cart fee NOT included. Individual entries will be paired to form two-person teams.

Format: 2-person best ball (net and at 90% of handicaps, 80% for teams with handicap spreads more than 8) and individual low gross for both men and women. The April GHIN indexes will be used for handicap purposes.

Tees: Men Pros and Stanford Men's Golf Team will play from the red tees. The rest of the Men's field will play from black or white tees. Men with a course handicap greater than 16 will play from the white tees. Men with a course handicap less than 16 can request to play from the white tees, but they will not be eligible to compete in the low-gross competition. Women Pros and Stanford Women's Golf Team will play from the Women's Team combo tees. The rest of the women's field will play from the blue tees. Pros play with a course handicap of no less than zero.

Special signup instructions: Non-members MUST include contact info (phone # and/or email). All players must supply a valid GHIN #. Entrants without a valid GHIN # must provide an estimated 18-hole score at Stanford and will play in a separate flight.
