Our tournaments, now open to all Stanford faculty/staff and alumni with playing privileges, are designed to provide fun, friendly competition for players of all levels. Lunch is almost always included, prizes for about 1/3 of the field are awarded, and players are grouped into flights by handicaps. Play the great Stanford course in a setup unlike any you'll ever see. Unique pin positions and tee locations lead to new challenges on every hole. The format is a 4-man scramble with your team or one paired by the committee. |

Stanford Open |
Open to non-members, this event is the only golf tournament available to the entire Stanford community --- men and women members, faculty and staff, alumni and students. Compete as two-person teams in a net best ball event where members can invite their Stanford affiliated friends to play. Individual low gross men's and women's champions will be recognized as well. For those age 50 and over, a series of 12 friendly home and home matches are played with 9 other Peninsula clubs for more than 20-30 Stanford players per match. Other clubs typically include Sharon Heights, Half Moon Bay, Los Altos, Peninsula, Green Hills, San Jose CC, La Rinconada, Boulder Ridge and Almaden. Senior exchange schedule on Golf Fusion. Club Championship** |
Semi-finals and final matches to determine the Stanford Club Champions in scratch and handicap flights. A scratch flight is open to all members who wish to qualify while others are grouped into flights by handicap. To play in the scratch flight, alumni members must play in a minimum number of tournaments as indicated below **. |

This second men's invitational allows each member to invite a non-member guest to play our great course at a very reasonable rate. The competition will be a variation on a two-person best ball format. |

52-Card Pickup |
This very popular event returns with a format that allows two-person teams to throw out holes during the round. Holes must be thrown out after they are played so good strategy is a must and the pressure mounts as the round draws to a close. |

The Annual Dinner, likely held at the Stanford Faculty Club, features a special guest speaker, presentations by the men's and women's golf coaches and annual awards. |
** Club Championship (scratch flight) - Alumni are eligible in the scratch flight only if they have satisfied one of two participation criteria: (1) Participation in at least two current year club tournaments (Senior Exchanges do not qualify, and the Lake Merced and President's Cup two-day events each count as a single event) through the June Father/Offspring Tournament. (2) Participation in at least three club tournaments during the 18-month period ending with the June Father/Offspring Tournament, including at least one current year tournament. As always, alumni and faculty/staff pay-as-you-go members will be required to pay their usual green fees. |
